Assistant Editor: Mara Lorch (mlorch2024@alaskapacific.edu)

Mara is a Montanan rooting into the Alaskan landscape: the one that kept luring her back season after season. She delights in studying the living world’s intricacies through marine and environmental sciences, wandering river valleys, and eating fresh foods that the rich lands near her home in Palmer provide. Her curiosity and appreciation for the world keeps her pen returning to the page.

    Hi to Turnagain Currents!
I haven’t checked in to the journal for awhile. I was so glad I did today. It’s great to see the updated format. And even better to see that APU writers were so productive and thoughtful in their writings this past year.

    From a fan! Keep writing!
    best,
    Beth
